ELEVT's First Fundraiser: Bulls-Eye for a Cause

On December 1st 2023, ELEVT hosted their first official fundraising event with a dart night, “Bulls-Eye for a Cause”. The objective of this event was to raise funds to provide locally produced, water-resistant schoolbags for the 250 students of Shree Patle Secondary School in Patle Okhaldhunga, a remote and impoverished village nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal. It was the community itself that expressed the need for schoolbags as a means to encourage students to remain in school.

The energetic and fun-filled evening included snacks, door prizes, and raffles. The highly anticipated grand raffle featured generously donated tickets to the Habs vs Tampa hockey game. 

Thanks to the generosity of all those who attended, ELEVT successfully raised a total of 2840,75$. This allowed ELEVT to fulfill its objective of providing essential school bags to the students of Shree Patle Secondary School. These supplies were delivered to the school in January 2024 by Sarki Sherpa and Nabita Thapa.

ELEVT's first fundraiser could not have been possible without the support of the Dorval Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Montreal West Island Lions Club, and all those that attended.
